At LYCEUM, your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Account details — name, email, mobile number, password (stored encrypted)
• Profile — class, target exam, city, parent contact (optional)
• Payments — order details; we never store full card numbers. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant gateways (Razorpay / PayU)
• Support — enquiries, tickets, doubts you raise

Information collected automatically

• Device, browser and IP address
• Learning activity — videos watched, tests attempted, time spent, progress
• Login history for account security

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalise the learning experience
• To process enrollments, payments and refunds
• To send class alerts, results and service updates (email, SMS, WhatsApp, push)
• To improve content, fix issues and analyse usage
• To prevent fraud, cheating and abuse

What We Never Do

• We do not sell your personal data to advertisers
• We do not share your phone or email with third parties for their marketing
• We do not store raw passwords or full payment card details

Data Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access to production data is restricted to authorised staff, and login attempts are logged and rate-limited.

Your Choices

• Update your profile anytime from Settings
• Request account data or deletion via Contact Support
• Unsubscribe from marketing messages — service messages (password resets, order confirmations) still apply

Children

Students under 13 should use the platform with a parent or guardian's consent.
